Lead Electrical Engineer

Perform advanced electrical engineering design tasks to assist the engineering team in the design, development, testing, and reporting of customized hardware applications. Convey technical framework to the project team for development and midcourse strategic corrections. Perform electrical engineering design and verification for the Katalyst Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) System, including electrical system architecture, analog signal processing, digital design, power system design, end-to-end system verification, and interfacing with cross-functional teams. Telecommuting permitted. Roving Employee – Requires travel up to 100% with work to be performed at various unknown worksites throughout the United States.  

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Two years of work experience in the following:
- Board prototyping and debugging;
- PCB layout using CAD tools such as Allegro;
- Electrical System Design Validation and Unit Level Design Validation;
- System behavior analysis using Oscilloscope, Digital Multi-Meter, and power supply;
- Schematic design using tools such as Orcad; and
- Battery Management design including Gas Gauge design, Battery PCM design, and Charger design.

One year of experience in the following:
- Hardware system design for analog, digital, and mixed circuits;
- Developing, designing, and overseeing the manufacture of FDA regulated bioelectrical medical devices;
- Power system architecture design, sequencing, and validation; and
- Designing isolated and non-isolated high voltage power supplies and power regulation circuits.

Product Manager Training Experience

Manage the development and deployment of the company’s proprietary training methodology for the company’s proprietary guided at-home Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) fitness training product. Educate, train, and supervise a team of EMS fitness trainers to create and produce EMS training classes recorded for live and on-demand streaming and provide personal training services, utilizing the company’s EMS training product for customized workout regimes for a wide and varied demographic client base. Responsible for ongoing product research as it relates to EMS programming, content creation, and suit enhancements. Evaluate and make recommendations for potential improvements to the customer experience, hardware and software, and collaborate with product development team to execute the roadmap. Telecommuting permitted. Roving Employee – Requires travel up to 100% with work to be performed at various unknown worksites throughout the United States.  

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Three years of post-secondary education or foreign equivalent education in Fitness Management, Fitness Economy, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field.

Work Experience:

Two years of work experience in:  
- Providing full-body Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) fitness training in a studio environment utilizing cloud powered training hardware and software services;

One year of work experience in:  
- Managing an EMS studio

- Developing and implementing full-body EMS fitness training technology, including technology design, studio design, user/trainer manuals, training processes, trainer education plans, and training concepts; and

- Educating, training, and supervising fitness trainers to provide EMS personal fitness training services, customized workout regimes, nutritional training, and sports physiotherapy training.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
Marketing Strategy
- Build and execute a holistic marketing strategy for our business that crosses brand, performance, content, digital, etc.
- Set clear goals and priorities for all marketing initiatives: proactively communicate objectives, results, and performance.
- Work with other teams, including Product, Business Development, Member Experience, and Compliance to ensure alignment with our brand goals.
- Develop metrics and KPIs, and always be ready and able to deliver the “the overview”.
 
Brand & Communications
- Work closely with the CEO and others to build positioning, messaging, branding, segmentation, marketing strategy, and creative direction.
- Develop programming, partnerships and experiential to cement Katalyst as a credible, and powerful force with sports and training worlds.
- Develop key initiatives to support brand and acquisition targets, through influencers, content and Regional/Field Marketing & Community Management.
- Create communication strategies and produce content in a clear and consistent way that resonates and motivates our target audiences.
 
Customer Engagement
- Be a thought leader on driving consumer engagement, and translate those concepts into tactical execution.
- Create high-performing content through a deep understanding of trends, insights, and platform best practices.
- Champion a word of mouth mindset, building all marketing plans and activities to maximize organic and referral growth.
- Ensure that Katalyst is a key part of ongoing dialogue in sports, fitness and in-home training through a strategically crafted and implemented communications and PR approach.
 
Digital Marketing 
- Formulate a performance marketing strategy to achieve business targets through customer-focused and data-driven marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Oversee direct response creative to ensure emotionally compelling ads across multiple channels.
- Monitor and report on performance against business goals and derive insights for management review.
 
Marketing Operations
- Own the marketing tech stack and data hierarchy.
- Create fully automated marketing communications flows that drive awareness, education and engagement at every point of the customer journey.
 
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in creating or growing disruptive DTC brands within the fitness, sports, and/or consumer tech space.
- Demonstrable success leading and growing high-performance, lean marketing teams in a hyper-growth environment while bringing a product or service to market from conception to adoption.
- Understanding/ability to speak to multiple channels, including social media, advertising, direct, digital, film/video, event/retail, etc.
- Deep understanding of digital best practices and emerging digital technologies and the ability to implement them across an enterprise organization. 
- Hands-on experience with all marketing, social media, influencer marketing, SEO/SEM, CRM, and digital analytics, web.
- Experience with solutions such as ActiveCampaign, Zapier, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Affiliate Software, etc.
- High affinity for data of all kinds and the ability to garner insights and applications of various data sets to drive efficiency and effectiveness in digital marketing.
- An articulate professional with excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in the ability to positively and creatively influence change and direction within professional environments.
- Adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, growing, and deadline-driven environment where flexibility and teamwork are critical.
